Lavrio, a charming port town in southeastern Attica, offers a relaxed gateway to mainland Greece and beyond. Known since antiquity for its silver mines, Lavrio blends history with authenticity. Stroll along the marina, visit the Archaeological Museum, or explore the nearby ancient temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion — a breathtaking sunset spot just a short drive away. With easy access to Athens and its landmarks, Lavrio is a peaceful yet strategic starting point for travelers seeking coastal beauty.
